Biocompounds is seeking to appoint an Editor-in-Chief
Biocompounds, the leading international peer-reviewed journal focusing on biological compounds, is inviting applications for the position of Editor-in-Chief.
About the Journal
Biocompounds serves as a platform for researchers to share insights on all aspects of biological compounds originating from plants, animals, and microorganisms. These compounds hold great promise for applications in pharmaceutical, medical, cosmetics, food, agriculture, and chemical industries. The journal covers areas such as the isolation, synthesis, biotechnology, bioengineering, purification, and applications of biocompounds.
Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief
The newly appointed Editor-in-Chief will assume full editorial responsibility for the content published in Biocompounds. They will ensure that the journal’s high standards, policies, and aims are upheld while overseeing the commissioning of non-research content. The Editor-in-Chief will lead the editorial board and contribute to shaping the journal’s strategic direction.
Ideal Candidates
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Expertise in biological compounds with a notable publication record.
Experience as a journal editor or similar role, with strong peer review and ethical publication knowledge.
Leadership capabilities, with the vision to steer the journal towards further success.
Familiarity with open access publishing and a keen interest in fostering the journal’s growth.
Excellent organizational skills, able to dedicate time regularly to the journal.
Strong connections within the biological compounds and biotechnology communities.
Term of Appointment
The position will initially be offered for a term of five years, renewable by mutual consent.
